RULES AND GUIDELINES- Please take the time to read the rules before submitting your work this will help you from having your work declined and will help the group run smoothly. This is a colour & shade theme group we have these rules to have consistency through out our folders. It is not a matter of what we personally think is good or bad work it is all about the colour or shades present. I would be surprised if every piece of work in someones gallery followed our rules so please only submit the work that is relevant to our group. This is not an Elitist group!!!!! If you follow the rules your work will always be accepted  Deviations must have 50 or more favs  to be submitted to featured folder, and also follow the rules of the others folders. Monthly Theme folder all rules apply deviation must be relevant to the Theme. Multi-Coloured Folder- Deviation must have 4 or more colours, be bright and colourful. Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Pink, Purple, Brown, Silver and Gold Folders- All deviations submitted with 100% 1 colour will always be accepted!Deviations with 70% 1 colour or more will be accepted on an individual basis. Selective colour works are accepted here. A black and white image with only one colour will be accepted even if it has less than 70% colour just remember to submit to the right colour folder. Black and White Folder- Deviation must be strong black and white contrast. NO colour allowed! Black Folder- Must be 70% Black , no strong white or colour allowed. Grey Folder- Deviation must be Grey or a mixture of subtle black and white with no strong contrast. NO colour allowed! White folder- Deviation must be white, cream is also accepted. Subtle colour is allowed. Warm Colour Folder- This folder is for work that shows off warm colours. Deviation must have two or more colours, all colours have to be warm colours eg RED ORANGE YELLOW Cool VS Warm Folder- This folder is for work that shows off cool colours against warm colours that don't fit in complimentary colour folder eg BLUE & RED, YELLOW & BLUE, ORANGE & GREEN. Cool Colour Folder- This folder is for work that shows off cool colours. Deviation must have two or more colours, all colours have to be cool colours eg GREEN BLUE VOILET. Complimentary Colour Folder- This folder is for work that shows off colours that compliment each other, Deviation must have TWO COLOURS ONLY that are opposite to each other on the colour wheel eg RED & GREEN, BLUE & ORANGE, YELLOW & VOILET/PURPLEAnalogous Colour Folder-This folder is for work that shows off colours that are sister colours, colours that are next to each other on the colour wheel.Deviation must have UP TO THREE COLORS that are next to each other on the colour wheel. eg ORANGE YELLOW & GREEN, GREEN BLUE & PURPLE, RED YELLOW & ORANGE etc. Secondary and tertiary colors will be considered a part of the scheme. Primary Colour Folder- This folder is for work that shows off ONLY PRIMARY colours ALL THREE primary colour must be present.eg RED BLUE YELLOW or RED GREEN BLUE as there is separate primaries for light and pigments. Colour Wheel- This is a special folder and it must show all the colours in the colour spectrum. eg RED, ORANGE, YEllOW, GREEN, BLUE, VIOLET. ALL ART FORMS WELCOME. TASTEFUL NUDES ONLY!! Please respect we have all ages in our group and graphic nudity may offend some members. Quality Controll, All levels artist welcome but keep in mind-NO SNAP SHOTS, BLURRY AND POORLY COMPOSED DEVIATIONS, UNFINISHED WORKS. This is a colour and tonal theme group not all of your work may fit in our folders please do not submit your whole gallery  WHY WAS MY WORK DECLINED?????? If you ask your self this question the reason could be 1. You submitted to the wrong folder. 2. Your work does not have a colour theme. 3. You have submitted in featured but your work has less than 50 Please do not be hurt or upset if your work is declined. Not every artwork has a specific color theme. You can always submit something else later. How involved do you think members should be with groups in general? (Should there be more opportunities for members to come up with ideas for contests/features?) Do the rules need any revision/clarification? We tend to decline a lot of submissions and we do wonder if it may be because the rules are difficult to understand... or if you just don't read them.| More Journal Entries |
